Rev. Jackie Gardner joins St. B having served congregations in both rural and larger church
settings throughout West Tennessee, most recently as lead pastor of Wiley Chapel United
Methodist Church and New Hope United Methodist Church, as well as Associate Pastor of
Pastoral Care and Discipleship at First Methodist Church in Paris. On June 9, 2026, Jackie was
commissioned as a Provisional Elder in the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Annual Conference of
The United Methodist Church.
Jackie earned her Master of Divinity degree with honors from Memphis Theological Seminary in
2024. Before entering full-time ministry, she worked for more than 20 years at the Tennessee
College of Applied Technology.
A native of West Tennessee, Jackie is passionate about preaching, teaching, pastoral care,
Bible study, and helping people grow in their relationship with Christ. She especially enjoys
visiting with church members, building relationships across generations, and walking alongside
people through life's joys and challenges.
Jackie and her husband, Rev. Dr. Robert Gardner, have six adult children and seven
grandchildren. In her free time, Jackie enjoys listening to music, watching Westerns, creative
home projects, and spending time with family.
Jackie looks forward to getting to know the congregation and community and is excited to see
what God has in store for the future of St. B. She asks for your prayers as together we seek to
